Surgical Dental Assistant

Experience with oral and maxillofacial surgeries (e.g. bone grafting, implants, sinus lift)
Minimum 5 years experience
Maintained annual CE requirements
Certification in relevant areas
Advanced knowledge of surgical techniques, infection control, sterilization, and handling/maintenance of specialized equipment
Good communication skills and attention to detail
Performs well under pressure

Supporting oral surgeon during surgical procedures
Preparing surgical environments, assisting during procedures, monitoring vital signs, administering anaesthesia, and managing post-operative care.
Post Op calls/follow-ups
Maintaining emergency kits with first aid supplies and emergency medications
Ordering implant parts, bone grafting materials and other surgical procedural equipment
Monitor patient intra-operative status, including patient position, vital signs, and/or volume and colour of blood.
Assist in the insertion, positioning, and/or suturing of closed-wound drainage systems.
Assist dental surgeon with donning and doffing PPE
